Baar — Student Cargo Board
A Telegram-first marketplace for the Iran ⇄ Italy corridor. A student traveller lists the spare capacity in their suitcase and recovers part of the ticket price; someone with saffron, documents or food to send posts an order. The platform matches the two sides, walks the deal through its states, keeps reputation, arbitrates disputes, and takes 5% of the carry fee — never a cut of the goods themselves.
// Architecture
An aiogram bot is the product, a Next.js panel is admin-only, and a FastAPI service is the brain both of them call. Data lives in PostgreSQL 16, migrations run on container boot, and the whole stack ships as Docker Compose. A policy service enforces per-category weight and value ceilings plus a prohibited-items list, and every user must accept the terms before their first order.
// Key capabilities
Everything inside Telegram
Sign-up, listing a trip, placing an order, matching, the deal itself, ratings and disputes all happen in the bot — there is no app to install.
Matching and deal flow
Trips and orders are paired by route and date, then each deal moves through explicit states so both sides always know what happens next.
Commission only on the service
5% of the carry fee, split 2.5% traveller and 2.5% sender. The value of the goods is never touched, and the admin panel reports revenue per deal.
Rules, arbitration, reputation
Weight and value ceilings per category, a prohibited-items list, admin arbitration for disputes, bans, and a score that follows each user.
