ISEE Parificato Calculator
Iranian students applying for Italian DSU scholarships have to turn family income and assets into an ISEE parificato figure before strict regional deadlines. This tool walks them through a five-step wizard, builds a traceable ISEE/ISPE scenario from their own documents, and places the family on a live map of which destinations are still open. It is a preparation aid, not an official ISEE: it never suggests a target number to declare.
// Architecture
A single FastAPI service renders the RTL Jinja pages and exposes a JSON API, with a pure calculation engine that logs every step of the ISR, ISP, equivalence-scale and ISEE arithmetic. PostgreSQL stores only destination data — thresholds, deadlines, required documents and currency rules, each with its official source URL and review date — while the user's financial file is never saved. The stack runs with Docker Compose behind nginx and is covered by fixture-based tests.

Household rules first
The family unit is resolved per DPCM 159/2013 before any maths, so living apart alone never silently drops a parent from the file.
Missing is not zero
Every amount is documented, confirmed none, declared or unknown; unverified figures send the case to review with a list of what is missing instead of a fake result.
No guessed exchange rate
Toman amounts convert to euros only under the rate rule the destination authority itself published; otherwise the result is blocked, not estimated.
Deadlines with sources
Seven DSU authorities for 2026/27, each with its next event, document checklist, official source link and an ICS export for the calendar.
